Most HERO strategies heavily rely on Fusion Summoning. That’ll open up those zones so that you can Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck into them. If you Summon Xtra HERO Dread Decimator in an Extra Monster Zone, its Link Arrows will point to three of your Main Monster Zones. Since any HERO monsters can be used to Link Summon it, it fits into Destiny HERO, Elemental HERO, Evil HERO, Vision HERO, and Masked HERO strategies alike. Xtra HERO Dread Decimator is a Link-3 monster that you can Link Summon by using two or more HERO monsters as Link Materials.
